Flicity Flick Newman was the younger sister of Cash Newman the wife of Tane Parata and the ex girlfriend of Rory Templeto
Backstory[]
When Felicity was young, her mother died and soon her father, which became hard for her. She and her older brother, Cash move into a foster home, but Felicity's fiery temper became an issue for Cash and their foster parents.
As a teenager, Felicity goes to night-clubs, and flirts and hook up with random guys, and Cash gets annoyed whenever Felicity brings a different guy back home for a one-night stand, and it became her habit
Storylines[]
Felicity is first seen arguing with her next door neighbour, after receiving an eviction notice and calls her brother, Cash to inform him. Cash intervenes the fight and takes Felicity inside. Later, Felicity goes to a nightclub, where she works and dances on top of a bar, which caught the attention of Tane Parata. They later flirt, have a drink and dance together on the dance floor, before they spend the night together at her place, only to be caught by Cash the next morning.
Felicity turns up to the police station where Cash works, and meets and befriends Jasmine Delaney, whom Cash is dating. Later, Felicity and Cash are thrown out of their house and the siblings move into the Caravan Park. Felicity continues to hook up with random guys and breaks up a fight between two guys whom she had a one-night stand with, which annoys Cash. Felicity bumps into Tane again and they went for a swim at the beach. They later have a drink at Salt and play pool at the Surf Club.
Tane kisses Felicity in front of his ex-girlfriend Ziggy Astoni, who shows up to the Surf Club. Tane tells Felicity that they shouldn't be hanging out, because of Cash, but Tane couldn't stay away and shows up to the Caravan Park to see her. Felicity invites him into her caravan hook up again. Tane tries to leave, but Cash was outside, and Felicity distracts Cash while Tane leaves quietly. Felicity invites herself to Cash and Jasmine's dinner date and joins them for dinner at Salt.
Felicity flirts with Tane, who shows up and Cash reveals to Felicity that he knows that Tane was in the caravan with her. Felicity tries to deny her feelings towards Tane. Felicity continues to pursue Tane, but he tells her that he doesn't want to get serious with her, leaving her upset. At Salt, Felicity sees Tane with Mackenzie Booth and gets jealous. Felicity is unstoppable and not even Jasmine can settle her down!
A mysterious woman starts to send roses to her fling, Tane Parata. After being ignored, the woman gases Tane in the gym and leaves a rose on his chest. This gas spreads to Salt, hurting Martha Stewart and Marilyn Chambers. Felicity is framed for the attempted murder of Tane, and many residents turn on her. However, she is informed that it was her best friend Anne who tried to kill Tane, and she was the mysterious stalker. No one believes her though, and so she goes on the run from the police. However, she is kidnapped by Anne and tied up in an abandoned warehouse. Anne later lures Tane in, spiking his drink. She explains how she was stalking Tane because he never noticed her on his nights at the bar and always took home other girls. Tane and Felicity repeatedly apologise to each other and try to sacrifice themselves for the other. However, when given a pen to write a goodbye letter to her brother, she stabs Anne and runs for it with Tane. Anne uses Flick's phone to forge a suicide message to Cash, but he instantly knows it's fake and comes to save his sister and Tane.
On her and Tane's wedding day, her brother was meant to drive the car, but due to her getting cold feet, her friend Eden drove her instead. However, in the ongoing situation between her cop brother and the Bikie gang, they had sabotaged the brakes in an attempt to kill Cash, but accidentally got Flick and Eden in a fiery car crash. Both were ok but Eden did have short-term amnesia.
Due to this, she tries to help the trauma with alcohol. However, Tane finds her secret stash and breaks up with her. This doesn't make her stop though, as she is caught drink driving weeks later. She becomes deeply upset about this, being a wake up call for her to finally stop.
In an action-packed police raid of the Bikie Gang's headquarters, one Bikie, named Marty, ran off. Cash chased after the man, and his colleague Rose chased after him, but a gunshot was fired, leaving Cash wounded. This caused Felicity lots of emotional trauma. Thankfully, Cash survived.
While at a concert with her friends, her drink was spiked and she passed out. When she woke up, she found out that she had been raped. Eden found her and took her to hospital, but she had no major injuries. The man, still with an unknown identity, starts blackmailing Felicity, demanding money or he would post a video of the incident at the concert. She keeps paying him, worrying for her own humiliation, but Cash recommends she stop and go to the police. Once he demands a larger sum, she agrees to drop it off at a nearby bin, but just sits there and waits for his arrival so that she can take pictures of him. She attempts to ram him, before breaking down when Cash finds her. The man, now known as Jeremy Holding, is found to have many pictures and videos of similar incidents, and is arrested. To help with her trauma, the police organize for her to meet with Jeremy and speak her mind. She does this, and says to him what he deserves.
When Tane tells her that he really wants to have a baby, she realizes that she is not ready for it and quickly shoots him down. However, she gives in to the temptation of making her husband happy, and later agrees. However, in secret, she carries on taking birth control pills without his knowing. Her friend and colleague, Mackenzie Booth, finds out after they fall out of Flick's purse, and threatens to tell Tane if she won't. Tane notices how Flick is acting bizarrely with her bag, so forces her to empty it. He sees the pills and their marriage ends abruptly. Tane punches Cash in a fit of rage and storms off. While Tane moves on rather quickly with several other women, Felicity finds it hard to move on.
Her several attempts to move on from Tane do not end well. Her first attempt is a man she meets at Salt, who claims he has been stood up in a different way than she'd think. He introduces himself as Marshall, and they head to Flick's place to have sex. In the morning, Flick tells him that she only wanted a one night stand, and he politely leaves. However, later that day, Marshall is revealed by Tane to be his lawyer in the case of baby Maia/Poppy's kidnapping. This further strains their already broken friendship/relationship. The next time is with a man named Rory, who rudely wolf whistles her in her restaurant. She confronts him, but eventually falls for his charm and they get together. While on police duty, her brother's car is graffitied by the River Boys gang, and it is revealed that Rory is a member. Cash urges Flick to break it off with him, but she refuses after Rory explains his story. While investigating the murder case of the cop he was replacing, Cash finds sufficient evidence that the River Boys - specifically one of Rory's friends - are responsible for the death. However, Flick disapproves of him, saying how he's just being a mean brother. This makes their sibling friendship fall apart for a little while. Rory is revealed to be the gang leader. One of Rory's friends drops off a bag of the dead cops stuff to Mali, making him do them a favour after they came for him in the fight with the Allens. Mali is caught up in the raid, but not charged. The friend who killed the man is arrested and charged, but Rory was not present. Felicity is informed of all this by Rory, who admits that he did help hide the body, but didn't have a part in the murder. However, in a shock twist of events, he arrives at the police station and admits that his friend did not kill the officer and he did. He says that his friend knocked him out but it was his idea and his doing to end the officer's life. He is charged, but Flick thinks that either Cash or Rory are lying. However, when Cash arranges for Flick and Rory to meet one final time, he admits to her his dark secret, leaving her heartbroken.
On 12th August 2024, Felicity collapsed in Salt after her brother and Eden's engagement party. Doctor Bree Cameron confirms that this was due to a sudden brain aneurysm, but confirms she may survive. However, she later suffers a second bleed, leaving her brain dead. Cash later makes the decision to turn off the life support machine. Her funeral is held at their home in the country, attended by Cash, Eden and Gary.
