- Mackenzie "Mac" Booth is the older daughter of Rick Booth and the new owner of Salt. She's also the half-sister of Dean Thompson, Sean and Kayla Booth.
Backstory[]
Mackenzie is Rick's child from his first marriage. Rick hooked up with a woman named Karen Thompson, while still married to his first wife, Mackenzie's mother and Karen became pregnant with Dean. Mackenzie's parents divorced and Rick remarried and have two children, Sean and Kayla.
When Mackenzie and Rick had an argument, she went digging onto her father's payment and found a cheque that he paid a house for Dean and Karen. Mackenzie buys Salt, in order to meet Dean.
Storylines[]
Mackenzie arrives at Summer Bay after she bought Salt from the previous owner, Brody Morgan. Angelo Rosetta and Darryl Braxton Ryder Jackson and Chloe Anderson step-daughter Kyle Braxton and Tamara Kingsley Casey ex-girlfriend Dean Thompson . Mackenzie goes to Salt and removes the sold sign from the balcony.
She meets Alf Stewart and his daughter Roo and tells him she is the new owner of the restaurant.
Alf introduces her to Colby Thorne who notices she is parked in a restricted area. both later gives her a fine.
Alf drops off the paperwork and keys for the restaurant and surf club and asks Mackenzie about her plans for the place. Mackenzie holds a happy hour event and meets some of the Summer Bay locals. Colby introduces her to his friends Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson, whose name she seems to recognise.
The following day, Mackenzie invites Colby and Willow Harris to join her for breakfast. Colby later finds Mackenzie's car in the restricted area and tells her to move it, or she will be fined. Although Colby warns her, she does not move her car. He later fines her. Mackenzie does pay back the fine ( off screen ). Colby and Mackenzie began getting closer leading to Colby in macs bed. Dean Thompson wanted to talk to Mac so he went over to her house to find Mackenzie at the door wearing Colby's cop shirt and Colby with no shirt on. Though Dean disapproves at first of Colby and Mackenzie he later gives them his blessing.
